Pudak
Pudak is a steamed sweet of rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk, wrapped in ope: the inner skin of an areca palm frond, stitched into a little pouch. It is the reason Gresik is nicknamed Kota Pudak, the Pudak City. The ope wrapper keeps it good for a few days, which makes it a perfect gift to take home.
