Madura Bull Race

Karapan sapi is Madura’s own bull race: a pair of bulls pulls a kaleles, a wooden sled the jockey rides on. At the 2023 Presidential Cup final in Bangkalan, 24 pairs raced on a 225 m track. There is also sapi sonok, a beauty contest in which decorated cattle step gracefully.
